A recently completed project for the firm of Terence L. Thornhill, Architect was a much-needed Public Works Facility for the City of West Richland.  This new structure accommodates the increased space needs for the engineering and maintenance divisions of the Public Works Department. This centralization of operations includes the storage of vehicles, equipment, materials and supplies, which will maximize the efficiency of the department.  A thorough needs assessment was conducted at the start of the design process to understand the tasks carried out by each department, important adjacencies needed, necessary space requirements, as well as many other factors.  The project has recently completed construction and the City of West Richland Public Works will be moving into the new building shortly.
